Cv/bio
Allen has enhanced her skills with classes in painting, printmaking, jewelry-making, metals and glass at Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Vermont, University of Delaware, Rutgers University, Bucks County Community College and the Tyler School of Art.

Allen's jewelry-making experience and influences-La Farge, Tiffany, Lalique-are apparent in the detailed designs of her pieces, as is the influence of master painters Matisse, Klimt and Kandinsky. Allen earned a BS in art education from Kutztown University and taught art at the elementary school level for 31 years, where her creative drive manifested in self-created projects for her students. Additionally, she made jewelry after graduating from college, and worked in stained glass.
